Rusty is the National Reserve Recruiter of the year for
2005!! Since the Navy doesn't hand out bonuses, instead we took a trip to
Washington DC for a week of seeing the sites and meeting the Big Guys of the
Navy -- the Chief of Naval Operations, the Chief of Navy Personnel, the Chief of
the Navy Reserves, and the Chief Petty Officer of the Navy. It was a busy,
terrific week, very meaningful to us both. We found that the high-level people
were seriously interested in hearing what the Recruiters of the Year had to say,
and that was refreshing.
